Here’s my top 5 April tips:
1. It’s National Pet Month throughout April. You can join online conversations at National Pet Month, Scratching Post and Park Bench. Pets can change someone’s life for the better in so many ways. Consider rescuing from a local animal shelter, they will give you plenty of advice to find the perfect match for your lifestyle.
2. Tuesday 7th April is World Health Day – focusing on food safety, so we wanted to stress the importance of making sure your pets do not eat plants and bulbs especially this time of year. If pets are left in the garden unsupervised it might be best to avoid planting certain poisonous plants and flowers.
3. Temperatures are rising, please do not leave pets in warm cars, the inside temperature is so much higher than outside the vehicle. The RSPCA provide advice and welfare information. Remember to take water with you on walks too.
4. Allergy awareness week starts on the 20th April, dogs and cats can have seasonal allergies too. Whilst allergy symptoms in humans tends to focus around the respiratory systems, cats and dogs tend to develop skin irritation or inflammation.
5. Here’s 5 places tried and tested to go as a family with your dog in North Wales & Chester Greenwood Forest Park, Talacre Beach, Newborough Forest, Conwy Falls & Café and Crocky Trails
Enjoy April and celebrate National Pet Month
